Demographic structure of Andorra by nationality

The most recent statistics show that in 2003 the Principality of Andorra
had a population of 72 320, with a density of 155 people per km2.
In 1997 the birth and mortality rates were 3,43% and 1.03%, respectively.
From 1990 to 2.000 population growth was 4,30%.
One of the main demographic features of Andorra is the uneven distribution
of the population over the territory.

Escales-Engordany: 16.402 inhabitants
TOTAL: 72.320 inhabitants
The majority of the population live in and around the largest valley of
the Principality. The Grand Valira river runs through the valley, which
contains two parishes, including the capital, Andorra la Vella. The valley
is situated along the major communication link between France and Spain.
It should also be noted that just 34,4% of the population of the Principality
is Andorran. Most residents are Spanish, Portuguese or French, among 80
different nationalities in all !!!
